This boon(gift/blessing) is based on ancestral recall of past knowledge, ability, and or skill. It is the Counterpoint to Ancestral Trauma. In the West, it is theorized to operate through some epigenetic principle similarly relating to how beavers build dams birds make nests and other information is transferred from one generation to the next. In the east, the belief is the mechanism operates similar to past life recall which is more of a spiritual memory process of an ongoing soul from lifetime to lifetime. In many traditional African systems, it is understood that the ancestors are fully separate sentient spirits being called back to provide information and or support in the task of the situation.
